MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park

I went to Leyte during my holiday and saw this MacArthur statue^^

Do you know him?
Douglas MacArthur*3rd from the left wearing sunglass (26 January 1880 – 5 April 1964) was an American military leader who served as General of the Army for the United States, as well as a field marshal to the Philippine Army.

He defended Philippines from Japanese occupation during World warⅡ.

The memorial is located in the municipality of Palo on Leyte island in Eastern Visayas and is one of the region’s major tourist attractions.

If you have an opportunity to visit Philippines, I’d reccomend this island region for you to see, one
of the historical places of the Philippines!!
